Bridges
Dental bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. Bridges are made up of two or more dental crowns that are attached to the teeth on either side of the gap left by the missing tooth or teeth. The crowns serve as anchors for the artificial tooth or teeth that are placed between them, filling the gap and restoring appearance and function.
One of the main benefits of dental bridges is that they can help prevent the remaining teeth from shifting out of position. When a tooth is missing, the surrounding teeth may shift or tilt, causing problems with bite alignment and creating additional gaps that can be difficult to clean. By filling in the gap with a bridge, the remaining teeth are held in place and the patient's bite is restored to its proper alignment.
Dental bridges can also help improve the patient's ability to chew and speak. Missing teeth can make it difficult to eat certain foods and can also affect speech. By filling in the gap with a bridge, patients can enjoy a more comfortable and functional bite, and can also speak more clearly and confidently.
Dental bridges are a long-lasting and durable solution for missing teeth, and can be customized to match the color and shape of the patient's natural teeth. With proper care, a dental bridge can last for many years, providing patients with a comfortable and natural-looking solution for missing teeth.
